The Name Says It

For the longest time, since I began taking the craft of creating music seriously, I've avoided giving any thought to being known by any other name, besides Christian McCoy. Well, on Tuesday, November 15th, 2016, while sitting in my weekly Rite to Catholic Initiation for Adults (RCIA) class, I comfortably settled on the new stage name of St. Christian McCoy. 

As some of us are aware, a saint is primarily an individual that has been recognized by the church as having a certain sense of holiness and likeness to God. Moreover, as I have never been officially recognized by the church as being a saint, I must admit, I have considered myself to possess a certain sense of holiness and likeness to God. This perception of myself, along with the awesome things I'm learning about the Catholic faith and my journey on the path of righteousness, instinctively inspired me to go ahead and embrace the change. Furthermore, look out, world and repent of your sins 'cause St. Christian McCoy is holier than thou!
